Remembrance Day
St Edward's School observed Remembrance Day with poignant morning assemblies and a two-minute silence at 11 am.
The assemblies honoured the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Pupils reflected on the significance of Remembrance Day and learned about the historical context.
At 11 am, the school fell silent as pupils and staff paid their respects to the fallen. This solemn moment provided an opportunity for contemplation and gratitude.
Anti-Bullying Week
Choose Respect
The anti-bullying week started Monday, 11th November, and continued throughout Friday, 15th November.
It is a special which encourages everyone - children, teachers and parents - to take a stand against bullying all year round.
This year’s theme – “Choose Respect” – will empower children to “do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes”.
St Edward's marked Anti-Bullying Week with themed assemblies and classroom discussions and talked about the issue through our weekly online safety show.
We want to extend a huge congratulations to all the pupils who participated in our recent anti-bullying leaflet competition. Each entry's creativity, thoughtfulness, and passion were truly inspiring.
Judging the competition was no easy task, as the quality of submissions was exceptionally high. However, we're thrilled to announce the winners who will receive a £10 Amazon voucher for their outstanding work raising awareness about bullying.
Thank you to everyone who took part. Your contributions will help make our school a kinder and more inclusive place for all.
The Winners:
Lower School - Leon
Middle School - Arran
Upper School - Dani
